Silver Ammonite

Silver Ammonite
SILVER AMMONITE PENDANT
Wear a beautiful piece of natural history, elegant, organic and with a fantastic story of evolution and folklore to tell.
This small ammonite was chiselled from a rock nodule found on the beach at Lyme Regis. Buried in rock for 190million years, it’s such a privilege to be the first person to see the ammonite revealed!
Cast it in molten, recycled sterling silver. The bail has been hand-carved to echo the septa or dividing chamber walls on the shell of the ammonite.
The silver ammonite is hallmarked on the reverse by the Goldsmiths Assay Office in London.
The pendant is partnered with an 18” sterling silver wheat chain, so called because the 4 strands of silver woven together resemble a sheaf of wheat. The intricate design of the chain has a beautiful texture and is comfortable and smooth against the skin.

Take a look behind the scenes to see how the ammonite pendant was cast in recycled Sterling Silver. After casting, the pendant is filed, soldered to a ‘bail, then polished to a high shine.
